What is the most common hotel room type?
Before we explore all the types of hotel rooms at The Colony Hotel Bali, let’s take a look at the most common types of hotel rooms that are on offer at most hotels.
- Standard Room or Superior Room: One of the most economical types of hotel rooms, and usually includes a double or queen bed and basic amenities like an ensuite bathroom, a desk with a chair and a cupboard, as well as air-conditioning, a television, a telephone, and coffee and tea making facilities.
- Deluxe Room: This type of hotel room is more spacious than the standard room or superior room. You’ll enjoy more space and slightly upgraded furnishings or amenities, perhaps even a larger ensuite bathroom and better views.
- Twin Room: A room with two twin beds which can be occupied by one or more people.
- Suite: What makes a room a suite? Suites are larger and more luxurious, often with a separate living area and separate bedrooms. Suites might include additional amenities like a kitchenette, whirlpool bath, or balcony. Examples include junior suites, executive suites, and presidential suites, increasing in size and luxury.
Suites offer an extra layer of luxury and comfort with upgraded amenities and additional features and upgrades. At the minimum, a suite would have a seating area. Here you’ll find our Superior Room, Deluxe Room and Junior Suite categories. Superior Rooms measure 28 sqm and are tastefully and elegantly decorated in the European style, complete with a TV, a Mini Bar, a desk, and king or twin beds. Deluxe Rooms are slightly larger, measuring up to 38 sqm and offer easy access to the pool and Poolside Café. Junior Suites are 50-60 sqm in size and come with a seating area, and some with balconies.
The Residence
Residence Suites measure a generous 100 sqm and come with separate living and dining areas in addition to a separate bedroom with an ensuite. There’s also a marble balcony with outdoor seating, and the entire space is classically and elegantly decorated with oriental and colonial style décor, for a rich and opulent ambiance.
Residence Deluxe: Measuring 40 sqm, the Residence Deluxe room is perfect for small groups with interconnecting doors for easy access, complete with a 60-inch smart TV, and an intricate daybed decorated with exquisite silk pillows and vintage lamps.
The Club
The Club Grand Suite is a beautifully appointed suite category measuring 90 sqm with a stunning marble balcony with outdoor seating, and also comes with separate living and dining areas, a separate bedroom and an ensuite with a gorgeous marble bathtub.
